Jonathan Gold of LA Weekly, Cedd Moses of 213 and Michael Cimarusti of Providence at JGold's Union Station Cocktail Party, to benefit Zocalo Public Square. (213 bars include Seven Grand, Varnish, Tony's, Broadway Bar, The Doheny, etc.)


213 bartenders just made Jonathan a Ramos Gin Fizz onstage -- lots of shaking! They're talking about their still fruitless search for Pepe Ruiz, the bartender whom Sinatra asked to make 200 Flame of Love cocktails on the spot, and that Americans invented the cocktail. I didn't know that fact, but I don't drink. (I came for the food. :)
